Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs cod or tilapia fillets, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • For the Slaw:
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the fish pieces with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Place the seasoned fish in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  4. While the fish is cooking, prepare the slaw. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and salt. Toss to combine.
  5. Warm the tortillas according to package directions.
  6. Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with air-fried fish and topping with the prepared slaw.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can lightly dust the fish with cornstarch before seasoning.
  • Feel free to add your favorite taco toppings like avocado, salsa, or a drizzle of crema.
