Ingredients
Scale
2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture evenly over the top and sides of the salmon fillets.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes. The exact time depends on the thickness of your fillets. The internal temperature should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit for safe consumption.
While the salmon cooks, prepare the butter sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced fresh garlic.
Once the salmon is cooked, carefully remove it from the air fryer. Brush the lemon garlic butter mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down first and cook for 5 minutes before flipping, if your air fryer allows easy flipping.
If you prefer a glaze, mix 1 tablespoon of honey into the lemon garlic butter mixture before brushing on the cooked fish.
If your fillets are very thin (under 1 inch), start checking for doneness at 9 minutes.
