Ingredients
Scale
3 parts Prosecco (chilled)
2 parts Aperol
1 part Soda Water (chilled)
Ice cubes
1 Orange slice or wheel for garnish
Instructions
Fill a large wine glass completely with ice cubes.
Pour 3 parts of chilled Prosecco over the ice.
Add 2 parts of Aperol. The Aperol will sink initially.
Top with 1 part of chilled soda water to help lift the Aperol.
Gently stir the drink once or twice using a bar spoon, moving from the bottom up, just enough to combine the ingredients without losing too much carbonation.
Garnish with a fresh orange slice or wheel placed on the rim or dropped into the glass.
Notes
Use a dry Prosecco, such as Brut, for the best bubbly result.
Chill all ingredients before mixing to keep the drink colder longer and preserve the bubbles.
For a slightly less bitter taste, you can use a 4-2-1 ratio instead of 3-2-1.
