Make the sweet, creamy, and crunchy grape salad popularized by Chicken Salad Chick. This recipe uses a cream cheese base and a pecan topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds red and green seedless grapes
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape mixture onto a serving platter or into a large bowl.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Mix well.
  7. Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the salad.
  8. Cover the salad and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the grapes are completely dry before mixing with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the salad base and topping separately one day ahead. Assemble just before chilling.
  • Use a mix of red and green grapes for visual appeal.
