Create delightful Cinnamon Roll Waffles topped with a sweet and tangy cream cheese icing. This recipe blends the comfort of a classic cinnamon roll with the fun texture of a waffle, perfect for a special holiday breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Waffle Mix Ingredients (Your favorite recipe or store-bought mix)
  • Cinnamon Filling:
    • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
    • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • Cream Cheese Icing:
    • 4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
    • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
    • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
    • 1-2 tablespoons Milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your waffle batter according to the mix instructions.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the filling until crumbly.
  3. Preheat your waffle iron. Lightly grease if necessary.
  4. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to cover the surface, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle about one teaspoon of the cinnamon filling mixture evenly over the wet batter.
  6. Pour a little more batter over the filling to cover it slightly. Do not overfill.
  7. Cook according to your waffle iron’s directions until golden brown and cooked through. Carefully remove the waffle.
  8. While the waffle cooks, prepare the icing. Beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  9. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the icing reaches a smooth, drizzly consistency.
  10. Stack your warm waffles and generously drizzle the cream cheese icing over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy your holiday treat!

Notes

  • For an extra warm, gooey center, you can swirl a small amount of the cinnamon filling directly into the batter before pouring.
  • Make sure your cream cheese and butter for the icing are fully softened for a lump-free glaze.
  • You can make the icing ahead of time and keep it covered in the refrigerator; let it soften slightly before serving.
