Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Glaze:
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, orange zest, and Dijon mustard.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
Once the meatballs are cooked, carefully add them to the saucepan with the glaze. Stir gently to coat all the meatballs.
Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the meatballs to absorb the flavors of the glaze.
Serve warm.
Notes
You can make the meatballs ahead of time and reheat them before glazing.
For a spicier glaze, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
Garnish with fresh parsley or orange slices for a festive touch.
