Ingredients
Scale
1.5 oz Whiskey or Bourbon
1 oz Fresh Tangerine Juice
0.5 oz Honey Syrup (1:1 honey and hot water)
0.5 oz Fresh Ginger Juice (or 3 thin slices of fresh ginger)
1 cup Hot Water
2 thin slices Fresh Tangerine (for garnish)
1 thin slice Fresh Ginger (for garnish)
Instructions
If using fresh ginger slices, place them in a mug.
Add the whiskey, tangerine juice, honey syrup, and ginger juice (if using juice instead of slices) to the mug.
Pour 1 cup of hot water over the ingredients.
Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
Garnish with a fresh tangerine slice and a thin slice of ginger.
Enjoy this warming drink immediately.
Notes
To make ginger juice, grate fresh ginger and squeeze the pulp through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
If you prefer a less sweet toddy, reduce the honey syrup to 0.75 oz.
This recipe honors tradition while adding a bright, seasonal twist.
