Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut works well)
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of black pepper (helps with turmeric absorption)
Pinch of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup or preferred sweetener (optional)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
Pour the plant-based milk into a small saucepan.
Add the turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and cinnamon to the milk.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking gently until it is hot but not boiling. Do not let it boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract, if using.
Pour the latte through a fine-mesh sieve into your favorite mug to remove any clumps.
Sip slowly and enjoy the warmth.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use full-fat coconut milk.
If you have fresh turmeric root, use a 1-inch piece, grated finely.
For an extra frothy texture, use an immersion blender or whisk vigorously before serving.
