This recipe combines the dense, fudgy richness of a brownie with the comforting texture of a moist loaf cake. We swirl hot fudge sauce into the batter and top it with a warm fudge glaze for an incredibly gooey, sliceable dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (about 18.3 oz) brownie mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 (12 oz) jar hot fudge sauce, divided
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a standard loaf pan generously with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, canola oil, and one jar of hot fudge sauce. Mix these ingredients until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  4. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out mostly clean.
  5. Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  6. Once cool, carefully remove the loaf from the pan. Warm the remaining jar of hot fudge sauce gently.
  7. Pour the warm fudge topping over the cooled loaf. Let the fudge topping set before you slice and serve this rich chocolate quick bread.

Notes

  • To keep the center perfectly fudgy, avoid overbaking the loaf.
  • Allow the bread to cool fully before adding the warm fudge topping for the best texture contrast.
  • Store any leftovers covered at room temperature for up to two days.
