Ingredients
Scale
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur, plus extra for drizzling
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Gently fold in the 1/2 cup of Irish cream liqueur and chocolate chips, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Once cool, drizzle with extra Irish cream liqueur before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake the brownies.
Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best chocolate flavor.
Chill the brownies before cutting for cleaner squares.
