Discover the secret to fluffy, low-carb Keto Cloud Bread, the perfect bread substitute for your favorite sandwiches and wraps. This easy-to-make recipe uses simple ingredients for a delicious and guilt-free bread experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon psyllium husk powder (optional, for added structure)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, softened cream cheese, and psyllium husk powder (if using) until smooth.
  3. In a separate, clean bowl, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold about one-third of the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture to lighten it.
  5. Carefully fold the remaining egg whites into the yolk mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Spoon mounds of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into bread-like forms.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  8. Let the cloud bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing or serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your egg whites are completely free of yolk for the best volume.
  • Cream cheese should be soft to avoid lumps in the batter.
  • This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
