Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons White Miso Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger, grated
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • Optional: Toasted Sesame Seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and water until smooth. This is your glaze.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
  4. Brush about half of the miso maple glaze evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is beautifully caramelized. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if you wish. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • We love serving this with steamed bok choy or a simple cucumber salad to balance the richness.
  • If your maple syrup is very thick, slightly warm the glaze mixture to help it combine better.
  • Adjust the amount of soy sauce based on the saltiness of your miso paste.
