Ingredients
Scale
1 large head of cauliflower
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the leaves from the cauliflower and cut the head into 1-inch thick steaks. You should get about 3-4 steaks from the center.
In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with olive oil.
Press each side of the cauliflower steaks into the Parmesan mixture, ensuring an even coating.
Place the coated cauliflower steaks on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is tender and the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
If you have leftover cauliflower florets, you can roast them alongside the steaks.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Parmesan mixture.
Ensure your cauliflower steaks are roughly the same thickness for even cooking.
