Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of Italian bread or French baguette
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the bread into a grid pattern, about 1 inch apart, without cutting all the way through the bottom crust.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley (if using).
  4. Brush the butter mixture over the cut bread.
  5. In another bowl, combine the shredded chicken, pesto, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Gently stuff the chicken and cheese mixture into the cuts in the bread.
  7. Wrap the bread tightly in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Unwrap the bread and bake for another 5 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the delicious slices!
