Ingredients
Scale
1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
1 large green bell pepper, halved and seeded
1 large red bell pepper, halved and seeded
1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned. Remove steak from the pan.
Add the sliced onion to the same skillet. Cook until softened and lightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Return the steak to the skillet with the onions. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Place the pepper halves cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
Divide the steak and onion mixture evenly among the four pepper halves.
Top each stuffed pepper generously with provolone cheese.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
You can use Cheez Whiz for a more authentic flavor, if desired.
Ensure the steak is sliced very thinly for the best texture.
If you prefer, you can substitute ribeye with sirloin steak.
