Make this simple, creamy salmon salad using canned salmon for a fast, protein-rich lunch filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Drain the liquid from the canned salmon. Place the salmon in a medium bowl and flake it with a fork.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, chopped celery, lemon juice, dill, Dijon mustard, pepper, and salt to the bowl.
  3. Mix all ingredients gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Taste the salad and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for later use.

Notes

  • For a low-carb option, serve this salad in lettuce cups instead of bread.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
  • For extra crunch, add 1 tablespoon of finely minced red onion.
