Enjoy a cozy winter moment with these Salted Caramel Cold Brew Coffee Cubes. They melt slowly into your warm milk, creating a rich, comforting beverage that tastes like a hug in a mug.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed cold brew coffee
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (or milk of choice)

Instructions

  1. Combine cold brew coffee, heavy cream, sugar, butter, and sea salt in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts completely. Do not boil.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. Carefully pour the salted caramel cold brew mixture into an ice cube tray.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely solid.
  6. When ready to serve, place 3-4 cubes in your favorite mug.
  7. Heat your milk until steaming, but not boiling.
  8. Pour the hot milk over the cubes and stir until they melt, creating your salted caramel cold brew drink.

Notes

  • For an extra deep caramel flavor, cook the sugar slightly longer until it just begins to turn amber before adding the cream and coffee.
  • Adjust the number of cubes you use based on how strong you like your coffee.
  • These cubes keep well in the freezer for up to one month.
