Ingredients
Scale
4 slices Sourdough bread
2 Tablespoons Unsalted butter, softened
2 Tablespoons Granulated sugar
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1/2 cup Cranberry Jam (homemade or high-quality store-bought)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread a thin, even layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together well.
Place the bread, butter-side up, onto the prepared baking sheet.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the buttered side of each slice. Gently press the mixture onto the butter so it adheres.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the topping is bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.
Remove the toast from the oven.
Spread a layer of cranberry jam over the cinnamon-sugar topping on each slice.
Serve immediately while warm. Share the story of your creation!
Notes
Using thick-cut sourdough provides the best structure for this topping.
For extra brightness, you can add a tiny pinch of orange zest to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
If you prefer a less sweet toast, reduce the granulated sugar slightly.
