Ingredients
Scale
1 (750 ml) bottle sparkling wine or champagne, chilled
4 cups pomegranate juice, chilled
1 cup orange juice, chilled
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cup club soda or sparkling water, chilled (optional, for extra fizz)
Garnish: Pomegranate arils and orange slices
Instructions
In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the chilled pomegranate juice, orange juice, and lime juice.
Stir in the simple syrup until it dissolves completely. Taste the base mixture and add more syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
Just before serving, gently pour in the chilled sparkling wine or champagne. Stir briefly to combine. Do not overmix, as you want to keep the bubbles.
If using, gently stir in the club soda for extra effervescence.
Add a generous amount of pomegranate arils and orange slices to the punch.
Serve immediately in glasses filled with ice.
Notes
This recipe is easily scaled up for a larger crowd.
For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling cider or ginger ale for the sparkling wine.
Prepare the juice base ahead of time and chill. Add the sparkling wine right before guests arrive.
