A refreshing and vibrant summer cocktail, perfect for parties. This sangria blends the sweetness of strawberries with the aromatic notes of basil and bright citrus, all infused in wine for a delightful sip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1/4 cup brandy or triple sec
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh basil sprigs and strawberry slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, brandy or triple sec, and simple syrup.
  2. Add the sliced strawberries, chopped basil, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime slices to the pitcher.
  3. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, stir the sangria again.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the sangria over the ice.
  8. Garnish each glass with fresh basil sprigs and strawberry slices.

Notes

  • For a sweeter sangria, add more simple syrup.
  • You can substitute red wine for white wine for a different flavor profile.
  • Feel free to add other fruits like raspberries or peaches.
