Transform your basic instant ramen into flavorful Thai Peanut Noodles in just 10 minutes. This quick upgrade uses simple additions to bring rich, savory flavor to your favorite quick meal.
Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, green onions, lime wedge
Instructions
Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, omitting the seasoning packet.
Reserve about 3 tablespoons of the hot cooking water before draining the noodles.
While noodles cook, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of the reserved hot water to the sauce mixture and whisk until smooth and creamy.
Drain the cooked noodles well.
Toss the hot, drained noodles immediately with the peanut sauce until everything is evenly coated.
Serve right away with your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
For a richer flavor, use a small amount of the broth left after cooking instead of just water.
This sauce works well with other quick-cooking noodles too.
