3 slices Artisan Bread
1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter, softened
1 ounce Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 ounce Gruyere Cheese, grated
1 ounce Monterey Jack Cheese, grated
Instructions
Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
Layer half of the Cheddar, Gruyere, and Monterey Jack cheeses on the bread in the skillet.
Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
Gently flip the sandwich.
Layer the remaining cheese mixture on top of the exposed bread.
Top with the third slice of bread, butter-side down.
Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
Remove from the skillet and slice in half. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use a mix of cheeses for the best flavor and melt.
Keep the heat low to melt the cheese completely before the bread burns.
Press down gently with a spatula while toasting for better contact.
