This refreshing winter fruit salad combines bright seasonal fruits with a zesty honey lime dressing. It is a healthy, colorful dish perfect for holiday brunch or a light snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large navel oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 2 cups fresh pomegranate arils
  • 3 firm apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and diced
  • 3 ripe kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 2 ripe pears (like Bosc or Anjou), cored and diced
  • 1 cup red or green seedless grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Peel and segment the oranges, reserving any juice. Measure out the pomegranate arils. Dice the apples and pears, and slice the kiwis. Halve the grapes. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the honey lime citrus dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, honey, lime zest, and ground cinnamon until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Combine: Pour the dressing evenly over the fruit mixture. Gently toss the fruit until everything is lightly coated.
  4. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This step is great for make-ahead preparation.
  5. Serve: Taste the salad before serving. If desired, add the reserved orange juice for extra moisture. Serve chilled as a healthy winter dessert or side dish.

Notes

  • For extra visual appeal at holiday gatherings, sprinkle a few extra pomegranate arils over the top just before serving.
  • If you prefer a sweeter dressing, increase the honey to 3 tablespoons.
  • This salad tastes best when served within 4 hours of preparation.
